Inexplicable Cartoon Spinoffs

I don’t think anyone will say otherwise on any of these, though I will say Robocop and Toxic Avenger are, at least, upfront heroes and all they needed to be was toned down. Still, though, both were pretty hard R movies, gory as all hell, but the Ninja Turtles were over-violent at one point too before being toned down for their cartoon versions.

That makes me think of a blog...but in the near future.

Western Star Wars Figures

I want every one of these just to say I have them.

10 Batman Facts

A nice short list of 10 Interesting Batman facts.

Shadow Sword Fight (Live)

Neat. Can’t say I’ve seen that before, bet it would have been awesome in person.

Franco's Top Ten from Criterion

James Franco is just one of those guys that’s hard to not like. He’s just a really cool guy and Criterion had him put a Top Ten (actually more) of his favorite Criterion films. No arguments here, they’re all fantastic. Be interesting to see what would be added as he watched more. Maybe there should be a yearly Franco list. Might make for an interesting experiment. Hell, on my own list Clouzot wouldn’t have been on it four years ago.

Phelous: Dead Snow

I find this interesting. Dead Snow is a movie that seems to have a bit of following and is even a bit praised by horror fans. I reviewed it about a year ago and my reaction was that it was pretty mediocre – a novelty but not much else.

AV Club: Movie Drug Freakouts

Haven’t put an AV Club video up in a while, but this one has some great scenes about the craziness of movie/tv drug freakouts. Personally, I think the Freaks and Geeks choice is a little week. That’s not a freakout, that’s actually a well-written episode. But whatever.
